Location: Chennai - Guindy

Internship Duration : 2 months

Scope of learning with Indias Leading aftermarket auto parts company

The Inventory & Catalog Management Analyst will be responsible for maintaining inventory accuracy, optimizing stock levels, governing product catalog data, and enabling data-driven decisions through advanced analytics. The role requires strong hands-on capability in Power BI, Python, and Zoho Analytics to automate reporting, identify gaps, and improve supply chain efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

Inventory Management

• Own end-to-end inventory visibility across warehouses, dark stores, and franchise locations

• Monitor stock accuracy, ageing, excess & non-moving inventory (NMI)

• Drive inventory reconciliation between system vs physical stock

• Support demand planning by analysing historical sales, consumption trends,and seasonality

• Track fill rate, service level, stock cover, DOH (Days of Holding)

• Highlight inventory risks impacting SLA, TAT, and sales performance

Catalog Management

• Own product master & catalog governance (SKU, MakeModel mapping, pricing, category tagging)

• Ensure catalog accuracy across ERP, billing tools, and analytics

platforms

• Eliminate duplicates, incorrect mapping, and wrong nomenclature

• Define and maintain standard taxonomy (Primary, PL, Secondary brands,OES, etc.)

• Support new product onboarding and lifecycle management Analytics & Reporting

• Build and maintain Power BI dashboards for:

• Inventory health
• Ageing & slow-moving stock
• Sales vs stock consumption
• Region / warehouse / franchise performance

• Use Python for:

• Data cleaning & transformation
• Automation of recurring reports
• Advanced analysis (trend detection, anomaly detection)

• Leverage Zoho Analytics for operational dashboards and stakeholder

reporting

• Automate MIS and reduce manual reporting dependency

Cross-Functional Coordination

• Work closely with Procurement, Sales, Warehouse, Finance, and IT teams

• Support SCM leadership with insight-based recommendations

• Act as a single source of truth for inventory & catalog-related data
