Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimize scalable data pipelines on GCP.
• Build and maintain data warehouses and data marts using BigQuery.
• Develop and manage ELT workflows using dbt for data transformation and modeling.
• Create efficient PySpark applications for large-scale data processing.
• Integrate data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and consistency.
• Implement data governance, data validation, and monitoring frameworks.
• Optimize query performance, storage, and compute costs in BigQuery.
• Collaborate with Data Architects, Data Analysts, and Business stakeholders to define data requirements.
• Troubleshoot and resolve data pipeline issues and performance bottlenecks.
• Support CI/CD implementation and deployment of data engineering solutions.

Technical Skills

• Strong experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Hands-on expertise in:
• BigQuery
• dbt (Data Build Tool)
• PySpark
• Cloud Storage
• Dataflow (preferred)
• Dataproc
• Composer/Airflow
• Proficiency in SQL and advanced query optimization.
• Experience in designing ETL/ELT pipelines.
• Good understanding of data warehousing concepts and dimensional modeling.
• Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and DevOps practices.
• Knowledge of data quality, governance, and security best practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in Data Engineering.
• Minimum 2+ years of hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform.
