HIGH SCHOOL TEACHER - SOCIAL SCIENCE

The High School Teacher in the Department of Social Science will play a crucial role in shaping the future of our students. They will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging and meaningful lessons that align with the schools curriculum and vision. The teacher will also be responsible for evaluating and assessing student progress, providing feedback and support, and creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.

Qualifications :

• Bachelors degree in Social Science or a related field
• Masters degree in Education or a related field is preferred
• A minimum of 3 years of teaching experience at the high school level
• Strong knowledge and understanding of the social science curriculum
• Ability to use technology and innovative teaching methods to enhance student learning
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well with students, parents, and staff

Responsibilities:

• Planning and delivering engaging and meaningful lessons that align with the schools curriculum and vision.
• Evaluating and assessing student progress and providing feedback and support.
• Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment.
• Staying up-to-date with current educational research and incorporating it into lessons.
• Collaborating with colleagues and participating in professional development opportunities.
• Developing and maintaining positive relationships with students, parents, and other stakeholders.
• Providing guidance and support to students outside of the classroom, such as advising student clubs or organizations.
• Participating in school-wide activities and events.
• Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records of student progress.
• Providing regular communication to parents and guardians about student progress and expectations.
