Health & Safety -Officer (Varanasi, UP-Project Location)

Role & responsibilities

• Function as an OH&S Officer, to ensure & coordinate occupational Health & Safety requirements on the project.
• Execute the OH&S & ESG Framework (policy, plan & procedures) at the workplace ensuring compliance with legal requirements with respect to OH&S.
• Should have experience in Highway Construction (4/6 laning) & maintenance projects.
• Should have good knowledge of IRC SP 55 i.e., Construction Zone and other relevant IRCs, and provide technical & contractual support to project managers in OH&S matters.
• Participating in Black Spot analysis & mitigation measures.
• Active member of Project OH&S Committee & co-ordinate with managers and employees to discharge their OH&S responsibility.
• Conducts safety meetings, audits, and inspections to ensure compliance, evaluate performance, identify corrective action, and implement follow-up assessments.
• Ensure PPE/ CPE compliance at the project.
• Conduct OH&S Induction, and other training, ensuring Toolbox Meetings.
• Assist in investigating occupational injury and ill health cases including near-miss cases

Prepare statistical reports, ensuring that all necessary records are maintained & report to HO.
