Head Operations

Position Summary

The Operations Head Overall will hold end-to-end accountability for manufacturing operations across all plant locations,

driving production output, quality, cost, delivery, and safety performance in line with business and customer (OEM)

requirements. The role requires strong hands-on manufacturing leadership, the ability to standardize processes across

multiple plants, and close collaboration with functions such as HR, Quality, Supply Chain, Engineering, and Finance to

deliver operational excellence group-wide.

Key Responsibilities

• Own overall production planning and execution across all plant locations to meet volume, quality, cost, and delivery

(QCD) targets.

• Drive standardization of manufacturing processes, SOPs, and best practices across plants to ensure consistency and

operational efficiency.

• Monitor and improve key operational metrics — OEE, capacity utilization, yield, rejection/rework rates, and

manufacturing cost per unit — across all locations.

• Lead capacity planning and capital expenditure proposals for new lines, automation, and infrastructure upgrades in line

with business growth plans.

• Ensure adherence to quality systems (IATF 16949, ISO standards) and drive a culture of continuous improvement

(Kaizen, Lean, Six Sigma, TPM) across plants.

• Partner with Supply Chain to ensure raw material availability, inventory optimization, and on-time delivery to

customers.

• Drive safety and EHS compliance across all manufacturing locations, ensuring zero major safety incidents and full

regulatory adherence.

• Collaborate with HR/Plant HR heads on manpower planning, productivity norms, and workforce discipline to support

production targets.

• Review plant-wise performance dashboards and MIS with plant heads, driving corrective action on deviations from

targets.

• Lead new product introduction (NPI) and new line commissioning from an operations readiness standpoint, in

coordination with Engineering and Quality.

• Build and mentor a strong plant leadership team (Plant Heads, Production Managers) across locations, ensuring

succession depth.

• Represent operations in customer (OEM) reviews, audits, and escalations, ensuring customer satisfaction and delivery

commitments are met.
