Head - Logistics & Warehousing (20-25 yrs)

Job Description:

We are looking at Head of Logistics & Warehousing for Leading Conglomerate.

JD:

- Plan and manage shipment timelines from factory to BL through effective coordination, ensuring smooth execution in line with vessel schedules.

- Promote and monitor higher utilization of rail transport over road for FCL movements to enhance logistics efficiency.

- Oversee vehicle TAT (Gate-in to Gate-out) by coordinating with plant and transport teams to ensure timely dispatch operations.

- Maintain alignment between physical stock and SAP records, ensuring inventory accuracy and proper control in stores and warehouses.

- Ensure timely issuance and receipt of materials while working towards reducing inventory aging.

- Inventory Aging Control - Ensures inventory aging beyond 7 days is reduced to zero, improving inventory turnover and space utilization.

- Timely Issuance & Receiving - Ensures 100% of booked materials are issued and received within the scheduled timelines.

- Payment Adherence - Ensures all invoices are processed within defined timelines (CHA & Transporter: 30 days, Forwarders: as per agreed terms) for smooth financial operations.

- Audit Management - Lead internal, external, customer, and statutory audits related to warehousing and logistics operations, ensuring readiness and adherence to organizational standards.

- Compliance & Regulatory Management - Ensure full compliance with statutory, regulatory, safety, environmental, and corporate governance requirements across all warehousing and logistics operations.

Qualifications & Experience:

- MBA, additional certification or degree of Logistics & Warehousing, working knowledge of SAP, 3 PL operations & Contractor Management, and familiarity with management best practices.

- Minimum 20 Years of experience.
