Head - Engineering (15-20 yrs)

About the Role

We're looking for a Head of Engineering to own end-to-end technology execution across IoT, cloud, data, ML systems, and applications, and build an engineering organization that ships reliably in real-world environments.

What You'll Own

- Hands-on architectural ownership of critical systems and technical decisions

- Technical execution and platform architecture across IoT, cloud, data platforms, ML systems, and applications

- Design of resilient, edge-aware systems that operate under imperfect network and field conditions

- Engineering standards for reliability, security, scalability, and testability

- Building, mentoring, and scaling a high-performing engineering team

- Close collaboration with Product and Operations to translate domain knowledge into software systems

What You'll Build

- Robust device-to-cloud and edge-enabled systems for industrial deployments

- Scalable backend services and operator-facing applications that turn data into actionable outcomes

- Data and ML pipelines for monitoring, diagnostics, and optimization

- Automated testing frameworks across devices, data, and applications

- A culture of ownership, operational excellence, and clear decision-making

What We're Looking For

- 10+ years building and scaling complex systems (IoT, distributed systems, industrial software, or large-scale data platforms)

- Strong cloud architecture experience (AWS, Azure, or GCP)

- Working understanding of IoT, edge computing, and automated equipment control systems

- Experience deploying ML systems in production that drive operational or business outcomes

- Proven leadership of engineering teams in startups or fast-growing companies

- Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
