Job Summary

Role: MTS 3 - Hardware Design Engineer

Location: Mohan Estate, Delhi

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior and mid-level engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Take complete ownership of the product.
  • Reporting to the VP of tech.
  • Stay at the forefront of automotive industry advancements and incorporate new technologies and methodologies into designs.
  • Lead the design and development of advanced electronic hardware systems for automotive applications, including ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems), infotainment systems, and electric powertrain components.
  • Oversee the creation and review of detailed schematics and PCB layouts tailored for automotive standards and requirements.
  • Conduct and supervise simulations and analyses to validate design integrity, focusing on automotive-specific challenges such as thermal management, vibration, and environmental durability.
  • Manage the testing, validation, and debugging of hardware prototypes, ensuring compliance with automotive safety and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO 26262).
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software, mechanical, and manufacturing engineers, to ensure seamless integration of hardware within automotive systems.
  • Document design methodologies, specifications, and test procedures, adhering to automotive industry best practices.
  • Assist in developing and implementing processes to streamline the onboarding and training of junior engineers.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in hardware design, with significant experience in the automotive industry.
  • Extensive experience with hardware testing, debugging, and validation, particularly in automotive environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of signal integrity, power distribution, and EMC/EMI considerations specific to automotive applications.
  • Proven leadership and project management skills, with experience managing automotive hardware development projects.
  • Expertise in circuit design and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium, Eagle), with a focus on automotive applications.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Selection Process

  • One technical round followed by an assignment generally 1-2 problem scenarios with 3-4 days timeline
  • Assignment walkthrough session followed by a second technical round
  • HR Round
