Job Description

  • Experienced Hardware Component Engineer provides strong technical leadership for Powertrain E&E components development.
     
    Job Summary:

    Responsibilities:

    • Responsibility for Global Component Ownership of Starter Motors, Alternators, Relays, Sensors, etc.
    • Circuit Simulation experience with tools PSPICE, LT SPICE etc.
    • Collect written or documented in other formats, component requirements based on feature/function/appearance requirements, and system/architecture/platform requirements.
    • Write and be responsible for the Technical Requirements Specification connected to the component (Starter Motors, Alternators, Relays, Sensors, etc) according to the elicited requirements.
    • Familiarity with EMC, ESD, and environmental standards (e.g., ISO 16750 , IEC 61000, ISO 11452 , etc ).
    • Work together with Purchasing in the request for quotation and participate in the evaluation of technical solutions from the different suppliers and the selection of a supplier.
    • Participate in the decision of which quality tools to use and in the usage of these quality tools, e.g. FMEA (Failure Mode & Effects Analysis), RCA (Root Cause Analysis), PAA (Product Application Agreement), RTS (Review of Technical Specifications), etc., for the design and development of the component.
    • Experience in the verification and validation process for component development.
    • Interface to SQA: participate in PPAP(Production Part Approval Process).
    • Knowledge of communication protocols like CAN, LIN, etc
    • Responsible for the design and development of the component w.r.t to the Technical Requirement with Quality, Delivery, Cost and Feature (QDCF)
    • Responsible for the Maintenance (Aftermarket) of the component w.r.t to the component life cycle.

    Additional Information:

    Education, Experience, Knowledge, and Skills

    • BE/BTech/ME/MTech in Electrical/Electronics and Communication Engineering.
    • 3-4 year’s experience in the design and development of relay modules, Sensors, actuators, starter motors and alternators etc.
    • Strong truck application knowledge, with working experience with Powertrain Components like Starter Motors, Alternators, Relays, Sensors, etc.
    • Expert in Component development lifecycle.
    • Strong hands-on technical experience in Electrical/Electronic engineering and diagnostics.

    Knowledge of Software, Functional development, Diagnostics, and System platform development will be an added advantage
