Hadoop Administrator(Admin)

We are looking for a skilled Hadoop Administrator with 2-5 years of experience in managing and supporting Hadoop ecosystems. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in Hadoop cluster administration, Linux systems, performance tuning, monitoring, troubleshooting, and production support.

Role & Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, and maintain Hadoop cluster environments.
• Manage Hadoop ecosystem components such as HDFS, YARN, Hive, and MapReduce.
• Monitor cluster health, performance, and resource utilization.
• Perform capacity planning, performance tuning, and optimization activities.
• Troubleshoot production issues and ensure high availability of Hadoop platforms.
• Implement security controls, user access management, and data protection mechanisms.
• Support cluster upgrades, patches, backup, recovery, and maintenance activities.
• Work closely with Data Engineering, Development, and Infrastructure teams.
• Ensure platform stability, reliability, and operational excellence.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• 3-5 years of hands-on experience in Hadoop Administration.
• Strong experience with Hadoop ecosystem components including HDFS, Hive, and YARN.
• Experience administering Cloudera or similar Hadoop distributions.
• Strong Linux/Unix system administration skills.
• Knowledge of cluster monitoring, performance tuning, and troubleshooting.
• Experience with security frameworks such as Kerberos and user access management.
• Exposure to Spark, Oozie, Sqoop, or Big Data technologies is preferred.
• Experience supporting production environments and resolving critical incidents.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and stakeholder management abilities.
