Job Description:
- A Guidewire Architect is a specialized role focused on designing, implementing, and leading the architecture of Guidewire Insurance Suite solutions (PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter) within insurance companies.
- Candidate will be responsible for translating business requirements into technical solutions, ensuring the Guidewire platform is leveraged effectively to meet business goals, and providing technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- End-to-End Solution Design: Leading the design of Guidewire solutions, including configuration, integration, data migration, and reporting.
- Technical Leadership: Providing guidance and mentorship to development teams, ensuring best practices are followed, and promoting a high-quality, well-engineered result.
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Working closely with business stakeholders, product owners, and other technical teams to gather requirements, define solutions, and ensure alignment.
- Platform Expertise: Deep technical knowledge of Guidewire products, including PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter, and their underlying technologies.
- Scalability and Performance: Ensuring Guidewire solutions are scalable, performant, and resilient, meeting the demands of the business.
- Cloud Strategy: May be involved in designing and implementing cloud infrastructure for Guidewire platforms, including on-premises to cloud migrations.
- Integration: Overseeing the integration of Guidewire applications with legacy systems and third-party tools.
- Best Practices: Defining and enforcing coding standards, best practices, and code review processes.
- Innovation: Staying up-to-date on new Guidewire features and technologies, and recommending their adoption when appropriate.
- Troubleshooting: Diagnosing and resolving complex technical issues related to Guidewire applications.
- Skills and Experience: Guidewire Platform Expertise: Deep understanding of Guidewire PolicyCenter, ClaimCenter, and BillingCenter.
- Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of object-oriented programming languages, GOSU, and Guidewire's configuration tools (Wizards, PCF, Data Model, Workflow, etc.).
- Solution Architecture: Proven experience in designing and implementing complex, scalable, and high-performing solutions.
- Cloud Computing: Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and cloud-based Guidewire deployments is often desired.
- Insurance Domain Knowledge: Understanding of insurance business processes and requirements is beneficial.
- Communication and Leadership: Excellent communication, collaboration, and leadership skills.
- Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
