Job Description

1. Solution & Architecture Leadership
- Own the end to end ClaimCenter solution design for assigned work, ensuring alignment with business requirements, enterprise architecture standards, and reuse first principles.
- Translate claims business needs into ClaimCenter native configuration patterns, minimizing custom development and configuration divergence.
- Define and document architecture decisions, trade offs, and rationale, including impacts to downstream systems.
2. ClaimCenter Configuration & Technical Oversight
- Guide and review ClaimCenter configuration and Gosu development
- Ensure configurations follow Guidewire best practices and support future scalability and upgrades.
- Review technical designs and code for quality, performance, and supportability.
3. Integration & Data Design
- Design and govern ClaimCenter integrations with Progressive and Vendor systems
- Define and validate data contracts and mappings, ensuring accurate alignment between legacy structures, policy data, and ClaimCenter entities.
- Partner with Progressive teams to ensure financial and claim data consistency across systems.
4. Reuse, Consistency, and Standards Enforcement
- Actively identify opportunities to reuse existing ClaimCenter configurations and integrations, reducing redundancy and implementation risk.
- Enforce architecture standards, patterns, and naming conventions across delivery teams.
- Ensure differences in policy or product data are addressed through configuration patterns, not unnecessary customization.
5. Delivery Collaboration & Agile Support
- Work daily with product owners, business SMEs, developers, testers, and integration teams to clarify requirements and resolve design questions.
- Participate in agile ceremonies (e.g., refinement, planning, design discussions) to ensure architectural alignment throughout delivery.
- Provide timely architectural guidance to unblock teams and prevent downstream rework.
6. Governance & Stakeholder Communication
- Prepare and present architecture artifacts (diagrams, design summaries, decision logs) for governance and review forums.
- Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to business leaders and non technical stakeholders.
- Proactively surface architectural risks, dependencies, and mitigation strategies.
7. Quality, Risk, and Readiness Management
- Identify and manage architectural risks, including impacts to claims processing, financial accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
- Ensure solutions meet non functional requirements (performance, scalability, security, supportability).
- Support production readiness by validating architectural completeness and operational considerations.

Required Skills:
- Deep knowledge of Guidewire ClaimCenter, including configuration, integration, and business process mapping.
- Demonstrated hands on architecture and configuration experience with Guidewire ClaimCenter (not advisory only)
- Ability to translate claims business requirements into ClaimCenter native configuration patterns.
- Ability to lead end to end solution design (configuration, integration, data)
- Ability to architect solutions that support both converted and net new claims without contaminating new claim behavior.
- Experience with concurrent development in multiple ClaimCenter environments is preferred.
- Proven experience leading ClaimCenter solution design through formal architecture and governance reviews.
- Ability to act as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams.
- Strong understanding of Property & Casualty (P&C) insurance operations, claims handling, and terminology.
- Experience designing and governing ClaimCenter integrations within a complex enterprise ecosystem.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, including the ability to translate business needs into technical requirements and vice versa.
- Availability of the proposed architect for the duration of the engagement
- Familiarity with SAFe principles, including PI (Program Increment) planning, cross-team collaboration, and continuous improvement practices.
- Strong Preference for Experience leveraging AI tools
