Job Description
Education: Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, GIS, or a related field.
Experience: 7 + experience as a GIS Engineer in the electric, gas, or telecommunications industries.
Technical Skills: Proficiency in GIS software and experience with GIS software development kits (SDKs) and APIs.
Development Skills : Strong skills in GIS application development, including web and mobile GIS solutions. Proficient in programming languages like Java, Python, C++, or JavaScript.Integration Skills: Experience with system integration and data interoperability.Communication: Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey technical information to non-technical stakeholders.Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications: Certifications: GIS certification (e.g., GISP) or advanced degree preferred.
Advanced Skills: Experience with advanced data visualization tools and cloud-based GIS solutions.
System Administration: Experience with system administration and cloud computing skills, and version control systems like Git.
