Job Description
The German Language Trainer is responsible for delivering high-quality German language instruction to students at various proficiency levels, fostering effective communication skills, and preparing learners for internationally recognized German language certification examinations. The trainer will create an engaging learning environment that promotes language proficiency, cultural awareness, and practical communication skills. Teaching Training
- Deliver German language classes.
- Prepare lesson plans, teaching materials, assignments.
- Develop students listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills.
- Conduct interactive classroom sessions using modern teaching methodologies and digital learning tools.
- Organize conversation clubs, language labs, workshops, and cultural activities to enhance learning.
- Design and conduct periodic assessments, quizzes, and examinations.
- Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, academic progress, and assessment results.
- Prepare students for internationally recognized German language certification exams such as Goethe-Zertifikat, TestDaF, and TELC.
- Contribute to curriculum design and continuous improvement.
- Develop innovative teaching resources and digital content.
- Integrate technology-enabled learning methods into classroom instruction.
- Mentor and guide students regarding language learning strategies and career opportunities.
- Support students interested in higher education, internships, and employment in German-speaking countries.
- Conduct remedial and doubt-clearing sessions when required.
- Masters Degree in German Language, German Studies, Foreign Languages, Linguistics, or a related discipline.
- Bachelors Degree in a relevant field with strong proficiency in the German language.
- Certification in German language proficiency (minimum C1 level; C2 preferred) from a recognized institution such as Goethe-Institut.
- Teaching certification or equivalent qualification is desirable.
- Excellent command of spoken and written German and English.
- Strong communication and presentation skills.
- Sound knowledge of CEFR standards and language pedagogy.
- Ability to motivate students from diverse academic backgrounds.
- Proficiency in MS Office, Learning Management Systems (LMS), and online teaching platforms.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
