Genero Engineers

We are seeking an experienced Genero Engineer to design, develop, maintain, and support enterprise applications built using Genero (4GL) technologies. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in application development, database programming, system integration, and production support within large-scale enterprise environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain applications using Genero BDL (Business Development Language) and Genero Studio.
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
• Develop and optimize SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
• Perform application integrations with internal and external systems.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve application issues in development, testing, and production environments.
• Conduct unit testing, code reviews, and support user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Prepare technical documentation, including design specifications and support manuals.
• Collaborate with business analysts, project managers, architects, and support teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
• Participate in application upgrades, migrations, and modernization initiatives.
• Ensure compliance with development standards, security policies, and best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3+ years of experience in Genero/Informix 4GL development.
• Strong hands-on experience with:
• Genero BDL
• Genero Studio
• Genero Report Writer (GRW)
• Informix Database
• Strong SQL and database design skills.
• Experience in application support, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with source control and release management processes.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
