Job Description

GEN AI Lead

Location: Bangalore

Mode: Hybrid

We are looking for an experienced OAshore Delivery Leader to own end-to-end delivery for GenAI-led enterprise programs, managing large distributed teams across onsite-oAshore models, multiple client stakeholders, and complex SOW/commercial structures. This role sits at the intersection of technical delivery, program governance, and client relationship management someone who can go deep into a GenAI architecture conversation in the morning and hold a steering committee update in the afternoon.

Key Responsibilities

Delivery Ownership

• Own end-to-end delivery for one or more GenAI/AI-native programs (agentic workflows, LLM integration, MCP-based data/tooling integration, RAG pipelines, GenAI-infused QA/testing, legacy modernization with AI accelerators, etc.)

• Manage delivery across onsite-oAshore pods, ensuring consistent velocity, quality, and predictability regardless of time zone spread

• Drive sprint/iteration cadences, release planning, and delivery governance (status reporting, RAID logs, steering committee updates) • Own program-level risk management technical risk, staAing risk, scope creep, and dependency risk and drive mitigation before issues escalate to the client Team & People Management

• Manage large, matrixed teams (30100+ FTEs) spanning architects, engineers, QA, business analysts, and scrum masters across multiple pods/PODs

• Build and manage capacity plans, including pod scaling models, use-case intake and complexity scoring, and bench/utilization management • Drive hiring, onboarding, and upskilling including running or feeding a GenAI academy/training pipeline to build bench depth in emerging AI skills

• Manage performance, career development, and attrition for a large offshore team

Client & Stakeholder Management

• Serve as the primary offshore delivery point of contact for client stakeholders (delivery leads, product owners, procurement/sourcing, CXO-level sponsors where required)

• Run governance forums biweekly/monthly status reviews, QBRs, executive steering committees

• Manage client expectations on scope, timelines, and commercial boundaries, especially where fixed-price or outcome-based commitments are in play

• Handle escalations calmly and directly, owning the resolution rather than deflecting upward

Commercial & SOW Management

• Understand and manage delivery against SOW terms fixed price, T&M, unit/milestone pricing, or hybrid rate-card models

• Partner with sales/solutioning teams on SOW drafting, eAort estimation, and commercial structuring for renewals and change requests

• Track margin, utilization, and delivery cost against committed rates; flag commercial risk early

• Support RFP/proposal responses with delivery-side inputs (staAing models, delivery methodology, risk mitigation, past performance evidence)

GenAI Technical Fluency

• Maintain working technical depth in GenAI concepts LLM application patterns, agentic architectures, MCP/tool integration, prompt engineering fundamentals, RAG, and AI-assisted SDLC/QA tooling enough to credibly review architecture decisions and challenge technical teams, not just report status

• Partner with solution architects to ensure delivery approach aligns with client's AI platform standards and security/compliance requirements

• Champion GenAI-led productivity improvements within the delivery org itself (AI assisted coding, automated testing, ticket triage/routing, etc.)

Required Qualifications

• 12–18+ years in IT/software delivery, with at least 3–5 years leading large oAshore or onsite-oAshore blended delivery teams

• Demonstrated experience delivering at least one significant GenAI/AI program end to-end (not just POC-stage — real production delivery)

• Strong grounding in Agile/Scrum delivery at scale; experience with SAFe or similar scaled frameworks a plus

• Proven experience managing SOWs, commercial models (T&M, fixed price, outcome-based, rate cards), and client contract nuances

• Experience managing enterprise client relationships at director/VP level, including handling escalations and governance forums independently

• Strong people management track record — hiring, performance management, capacity planning for teams of 30+.
