GCP DevOps Engineer / Cloud Infrastructure Specialist

Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and skilled GCP DevOps Engineer with intermediate architectural understanding to design, automate, and manage secure, scalable cloud infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform. In this role, you will work closely with cross-functional development and client teams to streamline CI/CD pipelines, optimize cloud performance, and implement robust DevOps practices.

Requirements

• Experience: 2 to 5 years of hands-on experience in DevOps, Cloud Engineering, or Cloud Infrastructure management.
• Mandatory Certification: Must hold at least one active Google Cloud certification: Google Cloud Certified Associate Cloud Engineer (ACE), OR Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud DevOps Engineer, OR Google Cloud Certified Professional Cloud Architect.
• Core GCP Services: Strong practical experience with GKE, Compute Engine, Cloud Run, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, VPCs, Cloud Load Balancing, and IAM.
• IaC & Automation: Proficient in writing modular Terraform configurations.
• Scripting & Tooling: Strong scripting skills in Python, Bash, or Shell; solid command of Linux/Unix administration.
• Networking & Security: Solid understanding of VPC peering, firewall rules, SSL/TLS termination, and secret management.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Hands-on experience integrating data pipelines (Dataflow, Pub/Sub, BigQuery).
• Familiarity with database administration on Cloud SQL or Bigtable.
• Experience with GitOps workflows (e.g., ArgoCD, Flux).

Cloud Infrastructure & Architecture

• Design, provision, and maintain resilient, scalable, and secure cloud environments on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

CI/CD Automation

• Build, maintain, and optimize automated CI/CD pipelines for zero-downtime deployments using tools like Cloud Build, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Jenkins.

Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

• Develop and manage infrastructure configurations using Terraform.

Containerization & Orchestration

• Deploy, configure, and manage microservices architectures on Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) and Cloud Run.

Monitoring & Reliability

• Set up centralized logging, alerting, and performance monitoring utilizing Google Cloud Operations Suite (formerly Stackdriver), Prometheus, or Grafana.

Security & IAM

• Enforce least-privilege access, manage IAM policies, implement Service Accounts, and ensure industry-standard cloud security practices.

Troubleshooting & Optimization

• Troubleshoot infrastructure bottlenecks, monitor system health, and optimize GCP billing and resource utilization.
