GCP Data Governance Professional

Role Summary

We are seeking a hands-on GCP Data Governance Specialist to lead the design and implementation of enterprise data governance capabilities on Google Cloud Platform. The resource will be responsible for establishing metadata management, data classification, data quality, and access control frameworks leveraging GCP-native services such as Dataplex and Knowledge Catalog.

Key Responsibilities:

• Implement end-to-end data governance solutions using GCP Dataplex /Knowledge Catalog

• Design and manage Metadata Management frameworks using System and Custom Aspects

• Configure and operationalize SDP (Sensitive Data Protection) Data Classification and Dynamic Data Masking

• Set up Data Profiling and Data Quality rules within Dataplex / Knowledge Catalog

• Define and structure Lakes and Zones within Dataplex to enable organized, governed data management

• Establish IAM Roles, Policy Tags, and Access Controls to enforce fine-grained data security and governance

• Partner with Data Engineering and Platform teams to embed governance into existing data pipelines and workflows

• Strong hands-on implementation experience across:

• GCP Dataplex / Knowledge Catalog

• Metadata Management (System Custom Aspects)

• SDP Data Classification Dynamic Masking

• Data Profiling Data Quality

• Lakes Zones configuration

• IAM Roles and Policy Tags
