GCP Data Engineer

About Position:

We are seeking a skilled GCP Data Engineer to design, develop, and support scalable cloud-native data platforms on Google Cloud Platform (GCP). The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in BigQuery, Dataflow, ETL/ELT development, Python, SQL, and modern data engineering practices. You will be responsible for building robust data pipelines, optimizing data processing workflows, supporting analytics and reporting initiatives, and enabling enterprise-wide data-driven decision-making.

What You'll Do:

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines on Google Cloud Platform.
• Build and optimize ETL/ELT workflows for batch and real-time data processing.
• Develop data ingestion frameworks for integrating data from multiple source systems.
• Implement data transformation, orchestration, and workflow automation using GCP services.
• Create and maintain enterprise data models, data marts, and data warehouse solutions.
• Develop and optimize BigQuery datasets, queries, views, and storage architectures.
• Ensure data quality, integrity, governance, and security across enterprise data platforms.
• Monitor and troubleshoot production workloads and data pipeline failures.
• Collaborate with business users, analysts, architects, and application teams to understand data requirements.
• Support reporting, analytics, dashboarding, and AI/ML initiatives through efficient data delivery.
• Implement CI/CD processes and deployment automation for data engineering solutions.
• Optimize cloud resource utilization and manage platform performance and cost efficiency.
• Support cloud migration and data modernization initiatives.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, data lineage, and operational runbooks.

Expertise You'll Bring:

• 2 to 5 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or Analytics Engineering.
• Hands-on experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services.
• Strong expertise in BigQuery
• Cloud Storage

• Pub/Sub
• Cloud Composer (Apache Airflow)
• Cloud Functions
• Cloud Run
• IAM & Security Services
• Experience building and supporting ETL/ELT pipelines in cloud environments.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing concepts, and database design.
• Experience handling both batch and real-time data processing workloads.
• Advanced proficiency in SQL for data transformation, query optimization, and reporting.
• Strong programming skills in Python.
• Familiarity with PySpark and distributed data processing frameworks.
• Experience working with large-scale datasets and enterprise data ecosystems.
• Knowledge of data governance, data quality, and metadata management principles.
• Exposure to CI/CD pipelines, DevOps practices, and version control systems such as Git.
• Understanding of API integrations and cloud-based data services.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
