We are seeking a talented Frontend Developer with expertise in JavaScript and React to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be instrumental in developing the user interface of our SmartOn devices mobile application and web platforms, ensuring a seamless, intuitive, and impactful user experience. Your work will directly contribute to our mission of empowering the visually impaired community through technology.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and implement user-facing features for our mobile and web applications using JavaScript and React.
- Collaborate with the product development team to understand end-user requirements and translate them into compelling, user-friendly interfaces.
- Optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability, ensuring all code functions properly across multiple browsers and devices.
- Implement responsive design to ensure the app provides an optimal experience across different devices and screen sizes.
- Work closely with backend developers to integrate APIs and services, and ensure a seamless flow of data and functionality.
- Participate in code reviews, adhering to best coding practices and standards for accessibility and usability.
- Stay abreast of developments in web technologies and programming languages, continuously improving your skills and contributions to the team.
- Debug and resolve issues identified during testing phases, maintaining a clear documentation process for future reference and updates.
Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Frontend Developer, with a strong portfolio showcasing your work with JavaScript and React.
- In-depth understanding of web development, including HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and React, along with the concepts of progressive enhancement and mobile-first design.
- Familiarity with version control tools such as Git, and experience in using project management and collaboration tools like Jira or Trello.
- Knowledge of browser testing and debugging, along with an understanding of web performance optimization techniques.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality, user-centric solutions.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment.
- A passion for technology and innovation, especially in creating solutions that improve the lives of the visually impaired.
