Front End React JS Engineer

 

• You'll primarily work on building new user-facing features & components for the 1P platform.
• You'll work with the design team and turn their designs into prototypes, keeping time, usability, aesthetics, and user experience in mind.
• You'll constantly review our website by monitoring key metrics, and optimizing for faster load times.
• Our frontend tech stack consists of Javascript, HTML, CSS, React, and many other open source tools as well.
• You'll create experiences that shape an iconic product . We believe in hiring smart people that pride themselves in good values, their work ethics, and holding great responsibility.

  

• You've built and maintained websites before. Since your work at 1P will be focussed on the 1P website and ERP, performance benchmarking, and its maintenance, having similar prior experience is a big plus.
• You've built, scaled, and maintained large-scale systems before on AWS. This is a specific ask, and this is a big plus, but not absolutely required.
• You are a fast learner. Our tech stack will grow with time, you need to be able to learn on the go and build solutions quickly.
• You can work in teams . You can hold your ground and don't need constant oversight, but can collaborate and work with more people whenever necessary.
• You enjoy building from scratch. Being an early hire, creating things from the ground up should excite you.
• You can think about business constraints. We want our engineers to be mindful of their choices, understand users, and think about the impact of their work on the bottom line.

Our recruitment process

1. Introduction: Get on an introductory call with us. We'll talk about your interests, your past experience, our vision of the future, and how you can contribute and help us achieve it.
2. Hacker Rank exercise: We'll send over a domain-specific task, which you'll have to complete and send back to us in 72 hours.
3. Pair programming: If we like your submission, we'll invite you to an interview with one of our engineers (strictly no whiteboarding), with whom you'll be pair-programming on a real world problem.
