Job Description

BelWo is looking for a Financial Analyst with a good understanding of accounting, financial planning, and data analysis. The ideal candidate should be comfortable working with numbers, preparing reports, analyzing financial performance, and supporting business decisions through meaningful insights.

Mode: Work from Office

Job Location: Mohali

Required Experience: 7-12 years

Shift Timing: Day shift position with required overlap in evening hours to collaborate effectively with the US team.


Roles and Responsibility:

  • Project Accounting (25%) & HR Financials / Payroll (20%) Project-level books, monthly project close, project P&L and variance, invoicing-data validation; full payroll cycle, salary statutory (TDS/PF/ESI/PT, gratuity), HR financial reports, payroll-to-GL/bank reconciliations
  • Budgeting & FP&A (20%) & Banking / Treasury Operations (15%) — Annual budget, departmental budget tracking dashboards, monthly budget vs. actual, quarterly forecast/reforecast; bank reconciliations, vendor payments, statutory remittances, cash-flow monitoring, FX / inbound remittance coordination
  • Regulatory & Statutory Compliance (15%) and Cross-Coverage / Continuity (5%) — GST, TDS, IT, ROC, FEMA filings; audit coordination; transfer-pricing documentation; inter-company reconciliations with BelWo Inc.; SOP documentation and full backup coverage during peer absence. Initial 120 days focused on structured KT across payroll, banking, and statutory compliance.

Desired Skill Set              

Must have: - Knowldege of statutory compliance (GST/TDS/PF/ESI/PT, gratuity), Banking & treasury operations; project accounting (revenue, costs, margins, WIP, project P&L, variance); advanced Excel (XLOOKUP, INDEX/MATCH, SUMIFS, dynamic arrays, PivotTables, Power Query, Power Pivot/DAX, dashboards, scenario analysis); Tally / QuickBooks / NetSuite or similar ERPs; experience working with statutory auditors, tax consultants, chartered accountants and accounting firms.              

Good to have: - Payroll processing, Global Capability Center (GCC) financial accounting exposure — rate cards, overhead allocation, multi-currency budget planning and tracking, inter-entity recharges; US-India or multinational inter-company accounting and transfer pricing; FP&A in a multi-departmental environment; VBA / macro proficiency for finance automation; services / IT-services / BPO industry exposure across the finance function lifecycle.

Communication

    •  Strong written and verbal English communication
    • Ability to engage with department heads, statutory auditors, banks, tax consultants, and US counterparts
    • Comfort operating in an India–US or multinational coordination environment
    • Detail-oriented and process-disciplined - finance accuracy is non-negotiable
    • Strong documentation discipline, experience developing robust standardized GAAP-based financial processes, developing SOPs (Standard Operating Procedures) knowledge
    • Collaborative mindset - ability to collaboratively in a shared-leadership finance team
    • Comfort with ambiguity during knowledge-transfer phase; ability to validate and document institutional knowledge
    • Ability to demonstrate an ownership mindset and accept and provide constructive feedback
