,JobDescription:[The incumbent is responsible for the business analysis from financial angle, identify relevant industry benchmarks and identify areas of improvement in the businesses under management
Study and analyse the organisation, systems and processes, checks and balances, efficiency of processes in financial and accounting functions
Develop MIS reporting system most relevant to respective businesses to serve as dashboard and barometer to make well informed commercial decisions and comply with appropriate Internal Controls and adherence to Legal / Tax and Company policies
Evaluate and drive the internal control system and internal audit systems in close cooperation with the finance teams and business heads of respective business ventures
Review and unify the accounting and financial software tools and ERP, delegation of authority and approval matrix , compliance calendar, accounting standards, treasury management, risk management, hedging policies, project viability analysis, business plans preparations, budgetary control system etc
Assist business ventures to consolidate and analyse financial data, taking into account company goals and financial standing
Assess the business ventures financial situation by gathering information regarding investments, asset allocation, savings, tax planning and estate planning among others
Develop financial strategies by guiding the business venture to establish financial goals matching goals with appropriate financial plansAnalyse the performance and propose action plans to improve profitability and cash generation as well as corrective action plans as neededProvide creative alternatives and recommendations to reduce costs and improve financial performance
Summarize data to structure sophisticated reports on financial status and risksDevelop financial models, conduct benchmarking, process analysis and assess risk tolerance
Conduct business studies on past, future and comparative performance and develop forecast models
Identify trends and recommend actions based on sound analysis
Track and determine financial status by analysing actual results in comparison with forecastsReconcile transactions by comparing and correcting dataPrepare reports and communicate the insights to the wider business
Consult with the management team to develop long-term commercial plansExplore different investment opportunities identify partners/ institutions
Develop initiatives and policies that may improve financial growth of the business ventureReview the internal controls and security of all automated accounting applications to ensure conformity with auditing standards
Prepare and deliver comprehensive evaluations, proposals, and recommendations to executive leadership, committees and other stakeholdersSupport the business venture in zeroing in on the appropriate ERP and migration
Proactively track, manage, prioritize, and advise on all the risks and opportunities of current business initiatives including projections/ pipelines
Research and analyse actionable data to the senior management to enable proactive business decisions and/or react quickly to the changing business environmentContinually drive a data-driven mindset and help the Finance team challenge any existing process and propose enhancements
Organize and structure large data sets, build dashboards and reports
