Finance Executive

Key Responsibilities

1. General Ledger Review & Financial Controls

• Conduct monthly scrutiny and verification of General Ledger (GL) entries to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with accounting standards.
• Identify discrepancies, unusual entries, and coordinate with relevant stakeholders for timely correction.
• Maintain proper documentation and audit trails for all GL reviews.

2. Product Categorization & Master Data Accuracy

• Ensure all products/SKUs are correctly tagged under the defined 4 business categories.
• Periodically review product master data for accuracy and consistency.
• Coordinate with relevant teams to rectify categorization mismatches.

3. Discount Governance & Validation

• Monitor and validate discounts availed/provided as per approved commercial schemes and policies.
• Analyse discount reports to identify incorrect claims, leakages, or deviations.
• Work closely with sales/commercial teams to ensure discount compliance and optimization.

4. MRP Monitoring & Pricing Control

• Track MRP trends across all SKUs based on current market rates and business pricing strategy.
• Ensure timely updates of MRP in systems in line with approved pricing changes.
• Highlight pricing anomalies and recommend corrective actions.

5. GST Compliance & Hold Release Management

• Monitor GST-related transaction holds and coordinate for timely resolution and release.
• Ensure compliance with GST documentation and statutory requirements.
• Liaise with finance, tax, and operations teams to minimize business disruption due to GST holds.

Preferred candidate profile -

Commerce/Finance graduate with 3-6 years in commercial finance, GST, pricing, accounting controls, and discount validation. Strong Excel, SAP, analytical, and stakeholder management skills.
