Finance/ Accounts Manager, Uganda

Key Responsibilities:

• To oversee the Unit s overall accounting and financial management requirements.
• To assist Unit Head in preparing annual budgets, monthly forecasts, operating results.
• Responsible for verifying all financial reports and ensure that all transactions are accurate and in compliance with local government regulations.
• To prepare and submits management reports in a timely manner and also ensuring delivery deadlines.
• To effectively implement all accounting policies and procedures.
• Ensure a strong accounting and operational control environment to safeguard unit assets.
• To evaluate and manage all financial risks.
• To act proactively on cost control requirements.
• Lead and develop an efficient within Finance and Accounting Department.
• Monitor and improve hotels operation costs, profitability and manage business risks.
• Ensure profits and losses are documented accurately.
• Oversees internal, external and regulatory audit processes.
• Ensure the safekeeping and updating of all legal documentation relating to the financial status of the Unit.
• Oversee accuracy of all inventories in stores and carry out surprise inventory audits.
• To ensure monthly payrolls are processed timely.
• To manage the team through clear communication on expectations, give relevant trainings and guidance.
• To participate in the employee performance appraisal process, providing feedback as needed.
• Any other work assigned by the management.

• Adherence to Financial systems.
• Updated policies and processes
• Audit findings resolved by deadlines.
• Timely submission of budgets vis- -vis business forecasts.
• Timely submission of all financial reports as per management directives.
