Job Summary
The Field Marketing Assistant drives brand awareness and product adoption directly at the farm level. You will bridge the gap between the company, local distributors, and the farming community. Your primary focus is executing local marketing campaigns, organizing product demonstrations, and educating farmers on the benefits of specialized fertilizers and micronutrients to increase crop yield.
Key Responsibilities
Field Execution & Demonstrations:
- Set up demonstration plots on selected farms to showcase product efficacy.
- Apply fertilizer and micronutrient samples correctly following scientific guidelines.
- Track crop growth stages and document visual results with photos and data.
- Organize "Field Days" to invite neighbouring farmers to see trial results.
Farmer Education & Engagement
- Conduct village-level meetings (Small farmer meetings) to educate farmers on soil health.
- Explain the specific benefits of micronutrients (zinc, boron, iron) versus standard NPK fertilizers.
- Distribute promotional materials like brochures, banners, and product pamphlets.
- Resolve basic farmer queries regarding application dosages and timing.
Market Intelligence & Retail Support
- Visit local retail dealer shops to ensure point-of-sale materials are displayed.
- Collect feedback from dealers regarding competitor pricing, promotions, and stock levels.
- Gather data on local cropping patterns, pest issues, and weather trends.
- Report daily field activities and farmer attendance numbers through the company CRM app.
- Social Media Engagement offline social media engagement
Role & Profile Expectations
- Daily Routine
- 80% Field Travel: Daily visits to villages, farms, and retail hubs.
- 20% Administration: Data entry, report writing, and inventory tracking of marketing materials.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Agriculture.
- Experience: 2-3 years
- Language: Fluency in the local regional language is mandatory.
- Travel: Must possess a valid driver's license and a two-wheeler for rural travel.
- Communication: Ability to build quick rapport with rural communities and retailers.
