Job Summary

Project: School Waste Management Programme

Location: Pune

Employment Type: Full-Time

Experience: 2-5 Years

Working Hours: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM (Sunday Off)

Flexible timings may be required depending on school schedules and programme activities.

Responsibilities

  • Planning and coordinating programme activities across assigned schools.
  • Conducting interactive classroom sessions on waste management, environmental sustainability, menstrual hygiene and responsible sanitary waste disposal.
  • Facilitating sessions for girls and boys as per the programme curriculum.
  • Conducting teacher orientation meetings and School Management Committee meetings.
  • Organising student engagement activities, demonstrations, quizzes and awareness campaigns.
  • Coordinating with school authorities, teachers and other programme stakeholders.
  • Liaising with Swachh, PMC and authorised waste management agencies.
  • Planning and coordinating corporate volunteer engagement activities.
  • Conducting baseline and endline assessments and supporting data collection.
  • Maintaining attendance, programme records, photographs and other project documentation.
  • Maintaining MIS and preparing regular project updates and monthly progress reports.
  • Monitoring programme implementation and ensuring quality and timely delivery of activities.
  • Identifying field-level challenges and coordinating with the team to resolve them.
  • Travelling across Pune for school visits and programme implementation.

Qualifications

  • Graduate in Social Work, Environmental Science, Sociology, Education, Management or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 2-5 years of relevant experience in NGO, CSR, education, community development, environmental or social impact projects.
  • Experience working with schools, adolescents, teachers or community programmes will be preferred.
