Summary
An RTR Team Lead/ SME manages the end-to-end financial closing process, ensuring accurate accounting, reconciliations, and timely reporting. They typically supervise a team of accountants, oversee journals (accruals, prepaid) and intercompany transactions, drive process efficiency, and manage stakeholder relationships.

Key Skills:
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Record to Report (R2R) and General Accounting or in Finance & Accounting shared services
- At least 1 year of Team Handling experience.
- Hands-on experience with SAP or Oracle ERP
- Any Graduate
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the end-to-end Record to Report (RTR) function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Act as the single point of accountability for Service Delivery Performance, ensuring achievement of SLAs, KPIs, Productivity, and Quality Targets.
- Experience in Journal Entries, Accruals, and Provisions
- Drive month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing activities while meeting all reporting deadlines.
- Oversee General Ledger governance, account reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, provisions, and balance sheet reviews.
- Manage Fixed Assets Accounting, including capitalization, depreciation, transfers, and disposals.
- Ensure accurate processing and reconciliation of Intercompany Transactions and balances.
- Review and analyze Balance Sheet and P&L accounts, ensuring completeness and accuracy of financial data.
- Ensure compliance with GAAP, IFRS, SOX requirements, and internal financial control policies.
- Lead a team of Analysts and Senior Analysts, providing coaching, mentoring, performance management, and career development support.
- Collaborate with FP&A, OTC, PTP, Tax, Compliance, Controllership, and Audit teams to support business and statutory reporting requirements.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring high service quality and effective communication.
- Drive process standardization, transformation, automation, and continuous improvement initiatives across RTR operations.
- Monitor KPIs, SLAs, and operational metrics to ensure service excellence and process efficiency.
- Identify and mitigate financial, operational, and compliance risks while maintaining a robust control environment.
- Ensure zero escalations through proactive issue resolution, governance, and stakeholder engagement.
- Support internal and external audits by providing required documentation, explanations, and compliance evidence.
- Foster a culture of accountability, operational excellence, and continuous learning within the RTR team.
