Executive

Role & responsibilities :

1. Procurement Operations

• Source and procure raw materials such as:
• Oleo chemical inputs (fatty acids, glycerin, surfactants, etc.)
• Chemicals (caustic soda, phosphoric acid, bleaching earth, catalysts)
• Packaging materials (HDPE drums, flexibags, cartons)
• Mechanical /Electrical Materials
• Safety materials
• Execute purchase orders in line with production planning and inventory strategy
• Ensure timely availability of materials to avoid production disruptions

2. Vendor Management

• Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable domestic and international suppliers
• Conduct vendor audits and performance reviews (quality, delivery, cost)
• Develop strategic relationships with key suppliers for long-term benefits

3. Cost Optimization & Negotiation

• Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and contracts to achieve cost savings
• Track commodity price trends (palm oil, soy oil, chemicals) and align procurement strategy
• Implement cost reduction initiatives without compromising quality

4. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure procured materials meet regulatory and quality standards (FSSAI, BIS, ISO)
• Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspection and approval of incoming materials
• Maintain proper documentation for audits and compliance

5. Logistics & Coordination

• Coordinate with logistics for shipment tracking, import/export documentation (if applicable)
• Manage inventory levels in coordination with production and warehouse teams
• Handle import procurement (LC handling, customs coordination) if applicable

6. Data Analysis & Reporting

• Prepare MIS reports on procurement spend, vendor performance, and savings
• Maintain accurate records in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Tally)
• Analyze consumption patterns and forecast future requirements

7. Cross-functional Coordination

• Work closely with:
• Production & Planning teams
• Quality Assurance team
• Finance (for payment processing & budgeting)
• Warehouse & logistics teams

Preferred candidate profile

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in:
• Chemical Engineering / Food Technology / Commerce / Supply Chain
• MBA in Supply Chain / Operations (Preferred)

Experience

• Executive Level:- 5-10 years in procurement (edible oil / chemicals / FMCG / manufacturing)
• Officer Level :- 2-5 years in procurement (edible oil / chemicals / FMCG / manufacturing)
• Experience in refinery or oleo chemical plant procurement is highly preferred
