Role & responsibilities

• Ensure proper operation & maintenance of ETP & Hazardous waste management.
• Responsible for timely procurement of EHS equipment and materials.
• Responsible to carry out investigation of EHS events such as accidents, incidents and near misses.
• Promote and maintain the environment, health and safety parameters in the plant.
• Adhere to all the company policies & manuals (Business, safety, finance).
• Ensure good housekeeping of ETP and Hazardous waste area.
• Co-ordinate EHS activities like plant safety inspections, safety audits, safety meetings & work permit.
• Promote EHS culture in company through safety week celebrations, World Environment day, and safety committee meetings.
• Preparation, review & approval of master documents.
• Preparation and approval of Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) and qualification document.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices in company premises.
• Ensure timely clearance of vendor bills for completed activities.
• Organize EHS training programs for the employees and contract personnel
• Act as a Functional Administrator in LMS for EHS department.

Preferred candidate profile

• Should hold degree in diploma Industrial Safety.
• Should be a recognized Safety officer from Goa Inspectorate of Factories & Boiler.
• Experience of effluent treatment plant operation and maintenance in a reputed pharmaceutical organization.
• Should have experience in incident reporting and investigation.
• Knowledge on firefighting systems.
• Should have training skills.
• Should be willing to work in a dynamic environment.
