We are seeking a highly experienced and independent Commercial Lawyer to support a senior sole practitioner based in Australia. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Australian commercial law, with at least 5-10 years of post-qualification experience , and be confident in handling a range of transactional and advisory matters with minimal supervision.

You will work closely with a sole practitioner, providing hands-on support for legal drafting, contract preparation, and advisory matters across multiple practice areas. You will need to demonstrate high attention to detail, quality-driven output, and excellent time management skills to help ease the clients current workflow challenges.

Responsibilities:

Draft, review, and advise on a wide range of commercial legal documents, including:

Shareholdersu2019 agreements

Sale of business contracts

Lease agreements and reviews

Contractor agreements

Provide legal support for commercial transactions and real estate matters.

Assist with wills and estates documentation.

Manage workload autonomously and help streamline workflow for the client.

Deliver high-quality work that aligns with Australian legal standards and practice norms.

Requirements

Law degree and current legal practicing certification.

Minimum of 5u201310 years experience.

Prior experience working with or supporting senior lawyers or sole practitioners and familiarity with Australian law.

Demonstrated ability to independently handle legal drafting and contract preparation.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Strong document drafting and legal analysis skills.

Comfortable working remotely with minimal supervision.
