Job Description

Role & responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end Plant HR operations, ensuring smooth execution of all employee lifecycle processes.
  • Ensure full compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory requirements by maintaining statutory registers, records, licences, and timely submission of statutory returns.
  • Liaise with statutory authorities, labour inspectors, auditors, and government agencies during inspections, audits, and compliance reviews.
  • Coordinate and fulfill contractual manpower requirements in line with production plans, ensuring timely deployment and optimum workforce availability.
  • Handle employee grievances, disciplinary cases, misconduct investigations, and domestic enquiries in accordance with company policies and applicable labour laws.
  • Ensure accurate processing of attendance, shift schedules, leave records, payroll inputs, and employee master data while maintaining data integrity.
  • Prepare, analyze, and present periodic HR MIS reports and dashboards covering manpower, absenteeism, attrition, overtime, statutory compliance, and other key HR metrics.
  • Support employee engagement, welfare initiatives, communication programs, and workplace culture activities to enhance employee satisfaction and retention.
  • Coordinate onboarding, induction, confirmation, transfers, separations, and other employee lifecycle activities.
  • Partner with plant leadership to implement HR policies, improve people practices, and drive operational excellence.


Preferred candidate profile

  • 3 to 8 years of HR Generalist experience in a manufacturing or pharmaceutical plant environment.
  • Good exposure to Plant HR Operations and employee lifecycle management.
  • Sound knowledge of labour laws and statutory compliance.
  • Exposure to Industrial Relations and handling the shop-floor workforce will be preferred.
  • Experience in contract labour management.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good analytical ability with proficiency in Microsoft Excel and HRMS.
  • Ability to interact effectively with employees across all levels.
  • Self-driven, proactive, and capable of working independently.
