Job Description

Oblytech, a rapidly growing IT consulting and digital solutions organization, is looking for a creative, detail-oriented, and highly motivated WordPress Developer with strong skills in graphic design and Canva.

This role is ideal for individuals who enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, contributing to multiple digital initiatives, and continuously enhancing both technical and creative skills. As part of a growing internal team, you will work on websites, landing pages, visual assets, and digital platforms that support the organizations growth, branding, and online presence.

This position is offered as a Fixed Term Employment for all candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, customize, and maintain WordPress websites from concept to deployment
• Configure and manage themes, plugins, and page builders (Elementor, Gutenberg, or similar)
• Create and manage website pages, landing pages, forms, and content layouts
• Develop visually appealing graphics, banners, illustrations, and creatives using Canva
• Ensure consistent branding, typography, color schemes, and layout standards across digital assets
• Implement responsive design principles to ensure compatibility across devices and browsers
• Optimize websites for performance, speed, and basic SEO best practices
• Manage website updates, backups, security patches, and version upgrades
• Support content publishing, formatting, and multimedia integration
• Collaborate with internal teams on design improvements, usability enhancements, and feature rollouts
• Troubleshoot WordPress issues related to layout, plugins, responsiveness, or performance
• Maintain documentation related to website structure, design standards, and processes

Requirements:

Technical Requirements:

• Hands-on experience with WordPress CMS
• Strong working knowledge of Canva for graphic and marketing design
• Experience with page builders such as Elementor, WPBakery, or Gutenberg
• Understanding of themes, child themes, and plugin configurations
• Basic to intermediate knowledge of HTML, CSS, and website structure
• Familiarity with responsive design and cross-browser compatibility
• Awareness of website performance optimization techniques
• Understanding of basic SEO-friendly content and page structure

Design & Creative Requirements:

• Strong visual sense for layout, alignment, spacing, and typography
• Ability to create web graphics, banners, icons, social creatives, and promotional designs
• Experience maintaining brand consistency across websites and marketing assets
• Ability to convert design concepts into functional WordPress pages
