Etl Tester

We are looking for a detail-oriented Automation Engineer to support testing initiatives across ETL, database systems, and application layers. This role focuses on hands-on execution, automation development, and collaboration with global teams to ensure quality delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Python
• Execute test cases (manual + automated) and report defects
• Perform database testing and data validation using complex SQL queries
• Support ETL testing and data quality checks
• Work closely with onsite leads and developers to understand requirements
• Contribute to automation framework enhancements
• Integrate test scripts into CI/CD pipelines
• Maintain test data and testing environments
• Assist in troubleshooting issues in scripts and environments
• Participate in Agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives)
• Document test cases, scenarios, and results clearly
  

Must-Have Skills

• Hands-on experience in ETL testing, database testing, and SQL queries
• Experience in automation using Python/Java
• Basic knowledge of API automation
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP)
• Understanding of Agile methodology
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Required Qualifications

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge of Git/version control systems
• Exposure to ETL tools and data warehousing concepts
• Basic understanding of Docker or containerization
