Etl Tester

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and execute ETL test cases to validate data pipelines and transformations.
• Perform data validation, reconciliation, and quality checks across multiple sources and targets.
• Collaborate with developers, data engineers, and business analysts to ensure data accuracy and integrity.
• Develop Python-based automation scripts for ETL testing and regression testing.
• Work extensively with Snowflake for data validation, query optimization, and performance testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects, ensuring timely resolution.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and test reports.
• Support continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) processes by integrating automated test suites.

Preferred candidate profile

• Strong expertise in ETL testing methodologies and data warehouse concepts.
• Proficiency in Python scripting for automation and validation.
• Hands-on experience with Snowflake SQL (queries, stored procedures, performance tuning).
• Solid understanding of data modeling, schema design, and data pipelines.
• Experience with test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail) and defect tracking.
• Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, Git).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
