ETL Developer GCP Data Engineering

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable ETL pipelines, ensuring high-quality data delivery, and supporting enterprise analytics platforms using modern GCP data services.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust ETL/ELT pipelines to move data from multiple source systems into a centralised data warehouse.
• Develop data transformation logic to convert raw and disparate data into clean, standardised, and analytics-ready datasets.
• Create and optimise complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database objects.
• Build and support data integration solutions using ETL tools and cloud-based data platforms.
• Ensure data quality, validation, consistency, and governance across all data pipelines.
• Troubleshoot and optimise ETL jobs to improve performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Maintain ETL documentation, data mappings, and process workflows.
• Collaborate with business, analytics, and engineering teams to understand data requirements and deliver solutions.
• Monitor and support production data pipelines and resolve data-related issues.

Required Experience

• 610 years of experience in ETL Development and Data Engineering.
• Strong expertise in SQL and database programming.
• Hands-on experience with ETL concepts and data integration frameworks.
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms, preferably Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
• Strong understanding of Data Warehousing concepts and architecture.
• Experience with data modelling techniques, including Star Schema and Snowflake Schema.
• Knowledge of database performance tuning and optimisation.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
