Environmental Health and Safety Officer

Role & responsibilities:

• Knowledge of legal compliance of MPCB, DISH, in Environment Health and Safety activity.
• Adequate knowledge of treatment of effluent treatment plant and its compliance.
• Implementation of work permit system.
• Preparation of onsite emergency plan and conducting the mock drills.
• Safety training to all employees, contract workers.
• Reporting of Accident / Incident /Near miss and compliance.
• Celebration of EHS awareness activity.
• Conducting the safety inspection round, internal safety audit.
• Responsible for maintenance and operation of fire hydrant system, fire extinguishers, fire alarm system, SCBA, Ambulance etc.
• Implementation of EHS policy and preparation and implementation of all SOPs under fire, Safety and Environment department.
• Responsible for selection, issuance and training on use of Personal Protective Equipment to employees.
• Coordinate with other departments to receive waste water, hazardous waste for its treatment and disposal. Coordinate with other departments for preparation of safety data sheet.
• Preparation of weekly, monthly, MIS reports

Preferred candidate profile:

4-6 years and above Experience of shop floor work related to EHS.

Qualification:

M.Sc (Chemistry), B.E. / Diploma in Chemical Engineering, Advance Diploma in Industrial Safety (MSBTE).
