Environmental Health and Safety Officer

Job Title: Safety Officer (EHS)

Location: Yamunanagar, Haryana

Qualification

• Diploma/B.E./B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Civil, or Industrial Engineering.
• Diploma / Advanced Diploma / PG Diploma in Industrial Safety from a recognized institute.

Experience

• 611 years of relevant experience in heavy engineering, fabrication, pressure vessels, boilers, process equipment, EPC, steel, or manufacturing industries.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Factories Act, Haryana Factory Rules, and applicable EHS regulations.
• Implement and monitor ISGEC's EHS policies, procedures, and safe work practices in accordance with ISO 45001 requirements.
• Conduct daily safety inspections of fabrication shops, welding bays, machine shops, assembly areas, and project work locations.
• Conduct Hazard Identification & Risk Assessment (HIRA), Job Safety Analysis (JSA), and workplace risk assessments.
• Organize toolbox talks, safety induction programs, and periodic employee awareness sessions.
• Ensure availability and proper usage of PPE by employees, contractors, and visitors.
• Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, perform root cause analysis, and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
• Conduct internal safety audits and support external statutory and ISO audits.
• Maintain statutory registers, incident records, safety inspection reports, PTW records, and compliance documentation.
• Coordinate emergency preparedness activities including mock drills, fire safety inspections, and first-aid readiness.
• Work closely with Production, Maintenance, Projects, QA/QC, and HR teams to strengthen safety culture and achieve zero-harm objectives.
