Environmental Health and Safety Executive

Role & responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and continuously improve the companys EHS policies, systems, and processes in alignment with corporate objectives.
• Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety legislation and standards, including ISO 14001 and ISO 45001.
• Lead risk identification, hazard analysis, safety audits, and incident investigations to mitigate risks and prevent workplace accidents.
• Design and deliver EHS training and awareness programs to empower employees and contractors.
• Oversee emergency preparedness, response, and crisis management plans.
• Serve as the primary liaison with regulatory bodies, ensuring timely submissions and approvals of all required EHS documentation.
• Champion sustainability initiatives, including waste management, energy conservation, and pollution control.
• Monitor and report EHS performance metrics and KPIs to senior leadership, recommending corrective actions as needed.
• Collaborate closely with operational teams to integrate EHS best practices into daily workflows and continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills Required:

1. Professional certifications such as NEBOSH, CSP, or equivalent is highly desirable.

2. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills.

Good interpersonal and communication skills.

3. Strong knowledge of local and international EHS regulations, standards, and certifications (ISO 14001, ISO 45001).

4. Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams, influence organizational culture, and drive behavioural change.
