Job Summary
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EHS Executive to ensure compliance with Environment, Health & Safety regulations and promote a strong safety culture across the manufacturing facility. The incumbent will be responsible for implementing EHS policies, conducting safety audits, ensuring statutory compliance, investigating incidents, and driving continuous improvement initiatives to create a safe and sustainable workplace.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement and monitor Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) policies, procedures, and programs across the plant.
- Conduct regular safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments to identify hazards and ensure corrective actions are implemented.
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory requirements, environmental regulations, and company safety standards.
- Monitor and maintain compliance with ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 management systems.
- Organize safety training programs, toolbox talks, mock drills, and awareness campaigns for employees and contractors.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, near-misses, and unsafe conditions; perform root cause analysis and implement preventive measures.
- Monitor waste management, pollution control systems, emissions, and environmental performance indicators.
- Coordinate safety committee meetings and maintain EHS documentation and records.
- Ensure proper use of PPE and adherence to workplace safety practices.
- Prepare EHS reports, KPI dashboards, and compliance reports for management review.
- Coordinate with government authorities during inspections and audits.
- Support emergency preparedness and response planning, including fire safety and evacuation procedures.
- Drive initiatives to improve safety performance and reduce workplace incidents.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of EHS regulations and statutory compliance.
- Experience in risk assessment, hazard identification, and incident investigation.
- Knowledge of ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 standards.
- Familiarity with fire safety management and emergency response systems.
- Good understanding of environmental compliance and waste management practices.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and EHS reporting tools.
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma/PG Diploma in Industrial Safety (ADIS/PDIS).
- NEBOSH, IOSH, or equivalent safety certifications will be an added advantage.
- Experience in manufacturing industries such as Building Materials, Cement, Ceramics, Tiles, AAC Blocks, Steel, or Construction Materials.
