Role & responsibilities

Strategic:

• Liosioning works with KSPCB, CPCB, MoEF, Dept. of Factories and Boilers, Industrial Safety

and Health, Fire and emergency services and other statutory bodies.

• Aware of GDP requirements related to EHS.
• Aware of all latest documentation standards related to regulatory requirements & audits.
• Aware of Technical Specification of Effluent Treatment plant, ETP recycling plant (Rochem) and

STP, Multiple Effect Evaporator, Incinerator, Decanter centrifuge and OCMS.

• Aware of Fire hydrant system, Gas suppression system, Sprinkler system, Fire detection system

and Public Address system.

• Conducting Risk Assessment, HAZOP Study and PSSR for the process.
• Conducting EPR drill as per planner.
• Conducting safety committee meeting.
• Conducting workplace monitoring study as per ICGIH and Factories Act standard.

Operational:

• Fire hydrant system and Fire alarm system operation and maintenance.
• ETP, STP, MEE, Rochem plants Operation and maintenance, Trouble shooting, Spare

maintenance.

• Fire extinguishers operation and maintenance.
• Spill control kit handling and maintenance.
• First aid procedure Training and maintenance as per KFR 91.

• SOP Preparation, Review and Approval. Must aware Quality Management System.
• Preparation, review, approval of GxP documents handling & management of QMS elements.
• Prepare/ Review/ Execution of URS, DQ, QRM, FAT, SAT, IQ, OQ & Support for PQ.
• Initiation of PRF for procurement related to EHS dept.
• Aware of Fire alarm access control system.
• Issuing work permits related to Height work, Confined Space, Hot work, Excavation work etc.
• Operation of Multi gas detector, Oxygen meter etc.
• Conducting EHS training.

Finance:

• Managing the inventory in effective and accurate manner of EHS equipments.
• Preparation of Capex & Opex budget.
• Initiation of Purchase request in SAP module in Unit-1 & Unit-2. Follow up for PO and materials

from the suppliers.

• Preparation of CER for non-budgeted items and obtaining approvals from CFT.
• Making GRN for the materials and submitting the bills to Finance.
• Follow-up with finance team for vendor payment on case basis.
• Obtaining quotations from the vendors for safety items and ETP chemicals. Maintain the

adequate stock before stock get exhaust.

• Doing the vendor qualification based on QA procedure.

People:

• Coordination & working with CFT, External vendors, Leadership team and reporting of activities.
• Coordination with AMC & OEM vendors for maintenance support.
• Initiating the change control, CAPA deviation in Track wise system. Coordinating with CFT for

approvals.

• Preparing and uploading SOP in EDMS system and Coordinating with CFT for approvals.
• Coordinating for completion of EHS inductions
