Job Description
Job Responsibilities
Develop, implement, and manage EHS programs, policies, and procedures in accordance with local, state, and federal regulations (e.g., OSHA, EPA) and Jabils internal standards.
Conduct regular EHS audits, inspections, and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and non-compliance issues, and recommend corrective actions.
Investigate all incidents, accidents, and near misses, determine root causes, and implement preventive measures to avoid recurrence.
Develop and deliver EHS training programs for employees, supervisors, and contractors on various topics including hazard communication, emergency preparedness, machine guarding, ergonomics, and waste management.
Maintain accurate EHS records, documentation, and reporting as required by regulatory agencies and internal Jabil policies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, engineering, and human resources, to integrate EHS considerations into all aspects of the business.
Manage and oversee the proper disposal of hazardous and non-hazardous waste, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
Monitor environmental performance metrics, such as air emissions, wastewater discharge, and waste generation, and implement strategies for improvement.
Participate in the review of new equipment, processes, and facility modifications to ensure EHS requirements are incorporated from the design phase.
Stay current with emerging EHS regulations, industry best practices, and technological advancements to continually enhance Jabils EHS performance.
Job Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Environmental Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Chemical Engineering, or a related scientific or engineering field.
3-5 years of experience in an EHS role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant environmental and safety regulations.
Proven experience in conducting EHS audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and influence employees at all levels.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
Ability to interpret technical documents, regulations, and standards.
Certifications such as CSP (Certified Safety Professional), CIH (Certified Industrial Hygienist), or CHMM (Certified Hazardous Materials Manager) are a plus.
Experience with EHS management systems (e.g., ISO 14001, ISO 45001) is desirable.
