Job Description
- Lead and manage a team of backend developers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
- Oversee the design, development, and maintenance of backend systems using Python, Django, and other relevant technologies.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and stakeholders to define project requirements and priorities.
- Drive the implementation of best practices and coding standards to ensure the quality, scalability, and maintainability of backend code.
- Manage the deployment and operation of backend systems on cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS.
- Implement DevOps practices for continuous integration, continuous deployment (CI/CD), and infrastructure automation.
- Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement solutions to ensure optimal system reliability and uptime.
- Foster a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the engineering team.
- Provide technical leadership and guidance on architectural decisions and technology choices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and successful delivery of projects.
- Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices in backend development.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience.
- 10-15 years of experience in backend development with expertise in Python, Django, and other relevant technologies.
- Proven experience in leading and managing engineering teams, with a focus on driving results and fostering a positive work environment.
- Strong understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) processes and methodologies.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as GCP and AWS, including deployment and operation of backend systems.
- Proficiency in DevOps practices, including CI/CD, infrastructure automation, and monitoring.
- Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment, with a focus on delivering high-quality results.
