Lead the creation, development, and implementation of critical system design changes, enhancements, and software projects.
Lead and mentor a dynamic team of engineers, providing technical guidance, support, and career development.
Collaborate with the Leadership, Product Managers and other stakeholders to translate business needs into robust, scalable, and efficient data infrastructure systems.
Foster a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and excellence in engineering practices.
Ensure timely execution of the project deliverables.
Work with other lead engineers and architects to ensure the system and product is consistent and aligned through all processes.
Review and approve design proposals and documents from the software engineers to ensure compliance with company standards.
Monitor the progress of the software development and projects to ensure that goals and deadlines are met.
Improve product quality, performance, and security through substantial process improvements.

Requirements & Qualifications

10+ years of experience in software development, including 5+ years of experience in IaaS/PaaS development at scale on public clouds (AWS, Azure).
2+ years of experience in engineering management
Expertise in designing, implementing and operating data engineering platforms and web services, including processing (streaming and batch ETL/ELT pipelines), warehousing and storage, analytics (Spark, Hadoop, Iceberg), and business intelligence reports (PowerBI).
Proficiency in SQL and one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, or Golang.
Knowledge of data modelling, data quality, data security, and data governance principles and practices.
Proven track of designing and operating applications at scale, in autonomous and self-recoverable frameworks.
Demonstrated expertise in leading technical strategy and architectures, including strong knowledge in system design.
