Key Responsibilities

• Own technical architecture decisions across all 10 applications
• Conduct code reviews for all Angular (frontend) and Java Spring Boot (backend) submissions
• Mentor and upskill junior and mid-level engineers across the team
• Define and enforce coding standards, design patterns and best practices
• Oversee PostgreSQL database design, query standards and migration strategy
• Own Nginx web server architecture and deployment standards
• Lead technical design discussions and produce architecture decision records (ADRs)
• Act as final technical escalation point from L2 Support Engineers
• Conduct technical interviews for new engineering hires
• Represent engineering in cross-functional technical discussions
• Own the deployment runbook and release engineering process
• Act as Engineering Manager's deputy in their absence

Technical Skills Required

• Angular (mandatory) deep expertise, architecture, performance, 6+ years
• Java Spring Boot (mandatory) microservices, Spring Security, Spring Data, 7+ years
• PostgreSQL (mandatory) advanced partitioning, indexing, query planning, 5+ years
• Nginx advanced configuration, load balancing, SSL termination
• System design and distributed architecture
• CI/CD pipelines Jenkins, GitHub Actions or equivalent
• Docker / Kubernetes (preferred)
• Security OAuth2, JWT, OWASP top 10
• Code quality tools SonarQube or equivalent
• Technical documentation ADRs, runbooks, API specs
