Engineer / Senior Engineer

Role & responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategic sourcing strategies to optimize cost and quality.
• Conduct zero-based costing, should-cost analysis, and benchmarking for various manufacturing processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Design, Quality, and Manufacturing) for new product development.
• Manage vendor relationships and drive supplier development initiatives.
• Ensure cost-effective procurement while maintaining quality and delivery timelines.
• Perform supplier negotiation, contract management, and procurement planning.
• Conduct supplier audits and compliance checks to ensure quality and regulatory standards. utilize SAP and Excel for procurement, data analysis, and reporting.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.E. in Electrical Engineering.
• 4 to 9 years of experience in strategic sourcing, procurement, and vendor development.
• Experience in global sourcing, cost reduction strategies, and supplier assessment.
• Supplier Negotiation & Contract Management Managing supplier agreements and negotiations.
• Manufacturing Process Knowledge Deep understanding of Cable / C&R Panel / LCC / Electrical & Electronic components / read scheme DT/GA.
• Should-Costing & Bench marking Evaluating supplier costs using industry benchmarks.
• Procurement Planning & Inventory Management Managing sourcing strategies and stock levels.
• Global Sourcing & Supplier Assessment Identifying and qualifying vendors from global markets.
• Supplier Audits & Compliance – Ensuring suppliers meet quality and regulatory standards.
• ERP Systems (SAP – HANA,) – Hands-on experience in procurement modules.
• Identifying cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality.
