Role & responsibilities
Case Management & Investigations:
- Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into employee complaints, grievances, and alleged policy violations (e.g., harassment, discrimination, bullying, misconduct).
- Gather relevant facts, interview involved parties, analyze evidence, and prepare comprehensive investigation reports with recommendations for resolution.
- Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of all employee relations cases.
Conflict Resolution & Mediation:
- Facilitate discussions and mediations to resolve workplace conflicts and disputes between employees, or between employees and management.
- Provide guidance and coaching to managers on effective conflict resolution strategies.
Policy Compliance:
- Ensure consistent application of company policies, procedures, and practices related to employee conduct, discipline, and performance.
- Stay up-to-date with current labor laws, regulations, and industry best practices in India (e.g., Industrial Disputes Act, Factories Act, Payment of Wages Act, POSH Act).
- Assist in the development, review, and implementation of HR policies and procedures to ensure compliance and promote a fair and equitable workplace.
Advisory & Consultation:
- Provide expert advice and guidance to employees and managers on a variety of employee relations issues, including disciplinary actions, performance management, attendance management, leaves of absence, and reasonable accommodations.
- Support managers in addressing performance concerns, conducting difficult conversations, and implementing progressive disciplinary actions.
Risk Mitigation:
- Identify potential employee relations risks and proactively recommend solutions to mitigate them.
- Collaborate with legal counsel when necessary on complex employee relations matters.
Training & Education:
- Assist in developing and delivering training programs on employee relations topics, such as respectful workplace conduct, anti-harassment, and performance management.
Data Analysis & Reporting:
- Track and analyze employee relations trends and data to identify root causes and recommend systemic improvements.
- Prepare reports on employee relations activities and outcomes for management review.
Collaboration:
- Work closely with HR Business Partners, Legal, and other departments to ensure a consistent and integrated approach to employee relations.
- Support HR initiatives and projects as needed.
Preferred candidate profile
- Candidate should be Graduate/Post-graduate with 5+ years of experience in handling HR/ER roles.
- Candidates with experience of HRBP also will be considered.
- Candidate from NBFC will be the most preffered
