Employee Relations Manager

Title: Specialist, Employee Relations Department: HR Employee Relations Rank: Senior Associate / AVP Reports To: ER Lead

This role is central to fostering a safe, compliant, and high-performance workplace culture at bank. It involves managing employee relations end-to-end, including grievances, disciplinary actions, POSH compliance, litigation, and policy reviews.

Key Responsibilities

• Drive ER strategy initiatives and embed risk culture & conduct.
• Act as POSH focal point, ensuring compliance and case management across India.
• Manage ER MIS repository, ensuring data integrity and reporting.
• Conduct investigations fairly, aligned with natural justice principles.
• Handle disciplinary and grievance matters per governance standards.
• Partner with HR and business leaders on complex employment issues.
• Review ER policies regularly for regulatory alignment.
• Collaborate with legal teams on employee litigation.

Required Experience & Skills

• 8+ years in Employee Relations, with POSH/case management exposure.
• Strong analytical, investigative, and problem-solving skills.
• Skilled in handling sensitive matters with tact and diplomacy.
• Knowledge of labour laws, employment policies, and compliance.
• Ability to coach, consult, and advise stakeholders effectively.
• Travel flexibility as required.

Education & Competencies

• Postgraduate in HR / Legal / Labour Laws preferred.
• Core skills: communication, negotiation, influencing, attention to detail, critical thinking, problem-solving.
• Technical skills: labour law expertise, legal drafting.
