Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer RDK-B
Experience: 5–7 Years
Notice: Immediate -15 Days only
Location: Bangalore (Work From Office)
Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Embedded Software Engineer with strong expertise in RDK-B platform development to design, develop, and maintain embedded software solutions for gateway devices and communication systems. The ideal candidate should have solid experience in C/C++, Linux system programming, networking protocols, and embedded software development, along with excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain embedded software for gateway devices and communication/data management systems.
- Develop and enhance solutions based on the RDK-B platform.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, and software teams to ensure seamless system integration.
- Analyze, debug, and resolve complex issues in embedded systems.
- Develop software specifications, technical documentation, and design documents.
- Participate in code reviews, integration testing, and release activities.
- Optimize software performance, reliability, and maintainability.
- Follow software development best practices and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- 5–7 years of experience in embedded software development.
- Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience with the RDK-B platform (preferred).
- Strong programming expertise in C/C++.
- Hands-on experience with Linux system programming, multithreading, and IPC mechanisms.
- Experience working with CCSP, HAL, and Yocto build systems.
- Strong understanding of networking protocols including:
- TCP/IP
- DHCP
- DNS
- IPv4/IPv6
- Experience with development and debugging tools such as:
- Git
- Gerrit
- Jenkins
- Wireshark
- Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with broadband gateway technologies such as:
- DOCSIS
- GPON
- LTE/5G
- Ethernet
- Knowledge of Wi-Fi 802.11 standards.
- Exposure to prpl and GStreamer frameworks.
- Experience in gateway software architecture and networking stacks.
Education
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.Role & responsibilities
