- Bachelor's Degree in Electronics, Electrical, Embedded Systems, or related field.
- 2+ years of experience in Embedded Hardware or Automotive Electronics Design.
- Experience working on telematics or GPS tracking products is preferred.
- Knowledge of automotive protections such as Load Dump, Reverse Polarity Protection, ESD Protection, Surge Protection.
- Exposure to manufacturing support and product lifecycle management.
Hardware Design Development
- Design electronic circuits, schematics, and PCB layouts for automotive and telematics products.
- Develop hardware solutions for GPS, GSM/LTE/4G, BLE, Wi-Fi, and sensor integration.
- Work with automotive communication interfaces such as OBD-II, CAN, RS485, UART, SPI, and I2C.
- Select and evaluate microcontrollers, GNSS modules, cellular modems, power ICs, and automotive-grade components.
- Define hardware architecture based on product requirements and environmental conditions.
- Experience in low-power and battery-operated device design.
- Understanding of firmware development concepts in C/C++.
- Hands-on experience with debugging tools: Oscilloscope, Logic Analyzer, Multimeter.
- Experience working with cellular modules, GNSS modules, and RF antennas.
- Knowledge of MQTT and IoT communication systems.
- Understanding of EMI/EMC testing and automotive protection mechanisms.
Prototyping Testing
- Build prototypes and perform hardware bring-up testing.
- Debug issues related to power supply, RF communication, CAN communication, and sensor integration.
- Conduct real-world field testing in vehicles and analyze device performance.
- Perform validation and reliability testing including vibration, temperature, surge, and supply fluctuation testing.
Embedded Systems Integration
- Collaborate with firmware engineers for MCU bring-up and peripheral validation.
- Validate communication between devices and backend systems using MQTT, HTTP, and TCP protocols.
- Integrate GNSS positioning, accelerometers, ignition sensing, and vehicle parameter monitoring.
- Ensure stable real-time data acquisition from vehicle ECUs through CAN/OBD interfaces.
PCB Design
- Design multi-layer PCBs using Altium Designer, KiCad, or Eagle.
- Implement EMI/EMC protection, grounding techniques, and automotive surge protection.
- Optimize RF layout for antenna performance and impedance matching.
- Perform DFM and DFA reviews before manufacturing.
Documentation Collaboration
- Prepare schematics, BOMs, assembly drawings, and validation reports.
- Support production teams during pilot builds and manufacturing stages.
- Coordinate with firmware, cloud, mechanical, and testing teams throughout product development.
- Stay updated with automotive telematics standards and IoT technologies.
